Labor Day 2021
Labor Day was originally established in 1894, as a tribute to unsung folks working their a**es off to make a living and to grow this country. Pictured above is my grandfather (Scully) and the original 1928 crew of the Scully Rubber Manufacturing Company. 93 years later, we hand batch all of our Scully's products here at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and proudly share them with you.
Labor Day is a holiday that is very near and dear to my heart, and this Labor Day is especially heavy with meaning... for the second year in a row! This strange halfway COVID place has us working in formats that seemed previously unimaginable. Hybrid, virtual, in-person, remote - the sweat and toil is real regardless. We want to wish our community a very Happy Labor Day. Here's to your hard work, regardless of where you're doing it, or how you're doing it.
